This little guy surprised his family by arriving 6 weeks early! I had a maternity session with his mama scheduled for 34 weeks, and she went into labor the day before the session, and he was born 2 hours before our scheduled session! It’s too bad we didn’t get to take maternity photos, but we decided to schedule a 6 month session for him instead, and I’m looking forward to seeing him again in a few months!
Aydan was 12 days old when I photographed his newborn portraits at the studio, and he wasn’t even technically due for another 4 weeks. I’ve photographed many premature and early babies, and most of them sleep like a rock. This little guy did, too, eventually, but when he was awake, he was super alert and strong, already holding his head up and looking around. He definitely didn’t want to miss a thing!
Aydan’s mom picked navy and neutrals for the color scheme for the session. I think navy is definitely his color!
This blanket was Aydan’s dad’s when he was a baby. I love incorporating sentimental items like this into newborn portraits!
