This session was so much fun for me for multiple reasons. The beautiful girl in the photos is my little sister, so I had lots of fun acting like the older sibling and bossing her around during the session. Seriously, though, it was so great to photograph her adorable little family. She and Zach are the sweetest couple and their puppy Brady is as cute as he can be. Aren’t they photogenic? I love Brady’s gold bow tie and their garnet sweaters. The color choices were perfect for fall AND being Seminole fans.:)

I don’t usually photograph weddings but when Morgan asked me to photograph her wedding ceremony and take a few formal shots after, I couldn’t turn it down. It sounded so quaint and intimate, with just the bride and groom and their immediate families. Her wedding was held at the Florida State University College of Law on a beautiful, sunny evening in May. There were about 30 guests and it was such a sweet ceremony. I’m so honored they asked me to photograph it. I had a hard time narrowing down images for the blog post, so here are 20 that I felt told the story of the day.

I love the way Morgan and Rich are grinning at each other here, right at the beginning of the ceremony. Another thing I loved is that Morgan’s childhood friend became ordained so he could perform the ceremony.

Instead of a reception, Morgan and Rich took their guests out to dinner, and we had about 15 minutes to take formal portraits before they had to leave. I love how their happiness and love shines through in the images of them together.

As a little girl, I was crazy about horses. What little girl isn’t? I was so blessed to grow up riding and showing horses and I was even more lucky to have my own horse, Hunter. I quit riding when I went off to college, then started back up and had another horse for awhile before graduating, working full time, and starting a photography business, then a family. Sadly, I don’t have time to ride anymore these days, but I will always have a soft spot for horses and I dream about sharing my love of horses with my daughter when she’s older.

When Riley contacted me to schedule a trash the dress session on the beach, I was excited. I love any excuse to go to the beach and it sounded like a fun session. When she mentioned that she would be bringing a horse along for the session, I was beyond thrilled. Photography + the beach + a horse? This was sounding like a dream come true!

Riley and I had a blast during this session! The bay Quarter Horse she used for the session reminded me so much of my Hunter, and it was wonderful to be around horses again for the day. Riley was such a beautiful bride and had an absolutely gorgeous dress, which just added to the perfect elements for this session. She also brought along other fun props to include, like sunglasses and an umbrella and rain boots. I love when clients think outside the box and bring special items to not only make their session more personal, but make it more unique as well.

I had a hard time narrowing down Riley’s images to share but here are some of my favorites!

Stephanie and Zach are so special to me and I was so excited to photograph their engagement! Stephanie is my husband’s little sister and I’m so happy for her that she’s marrying such a wonderful guy. We can’t wait to welcome Zach into our family officially next year, but it will be easy because he already fits right in! We went out to Oven Park over the weekend to photograph their engagement photos for their save the dates. We had a gorgeous weather, a beautiful location, and an adorable couple so of course I love the way the photos turned out and I had a very difficult time narrowing down my favorites for this blog post!

Because I photograph babies 95% of the time, it was so much fun for me to photograph this session and get to be creative in a whole different way. Don’t get me wrong — I love my baby plan sessions but photographing adults who can take direction definitely has merit! We had so much fun during this session and to be honest, Stephanie and Zach made it easy for me! I barely had to give them any direction; they are so comfortable with each other and natural in front of the camera that I think they forgot I was there half the time! Here are some of my favorite photos from their session.
