I am so excited to be able to share this session. This little guy is Donovan Knox. His mama is a good friend and fellow photographer, Ashley Daniell. Knox’s due date is the first of December. He was born at the end of September, at just 31 weeks and just over 3 pounds. As his daddy said, Knox was going to be in the NICU for an estimated 6-8 weeks “due to the lovestruck request of the hospital nursing staff.” Well, baby Knox is a fighter, and he was able to go home after just a month in the NICU. I photographed him for his newborn session on the day he turned 5 weeks, and he wasn’t even supposed to be due for another month. He is so perfect and so tiny (although he’s close to doubling his birth weight now!) Anyway, I was so excited to finally meet him, and he was a champ for his session!
It’s fitting to share this session on the day before Thanksgiving, because I know his mama and daddy are so thankful to have him home and safe!
He’s totally handsome, right?
