Nate’s first birthday portraits were just posted here, but we ended the session with a cake smash, and I had to share those as well. There were so many cute photos that I split it up into two separate posts so I could share the portraits and cake smash separately. Nate’s mom, Julie, borrowed a cake pan I had just gotten and made his cake, and I love the way it turned out! Note to clients: anyone who wants to do a cake smash session is welcome to borrow the pan! I wasn’t sure how Nate was going to react to the cake, and he wasn’t either, at first, but he ended up loving it!

The best part of this session? Not only did I get to hang out with some of my favorite clients and an adorable baby, but they sent me home with cake (and it tasted amazing!) Julie and Kevin, thanks so much for letting me photograph Nate again. I always love spending time with your family!
