You may remember Shayla and Doug’s beach maternity session from the blog last month. Their little one, Chandler Wade, was born earlier this month and I had so much fun taking his first photos. He is so cute with his dark hair! Shayla and Doug are close friends of mine, but they live a couple hours away, so my husband (Paul) and I made a day trip and drove over to see the baby. It was really fun to be able to do that — Paul had never seen me photograph a newborn session before, and it’s so different than any other kind of photography; I think he was pretty surprised at how much work newborns can be to photograph! They are absolutely worth it though — I think I have the best job in the world! I’m looking forward to photographing Chandler many times in the future, so I’m sure he will be making many more blog appearances!
